Consequences (2018) follows Andrej, an 18-year-old from Slovenia who is sent to a youth detention center after multiple run-ins with the law. At the center, Andrej finds it difficult to fit in but soon attracts the attention of Željko, the dominant and manipulative leader of a group of delinquents.

Željko takes Andrej under his wing, testing his loyalty through petty crimes and violent acts. Wanting acceptance, Andrej follows Željko’s lead, gradually becoming more involved in theft, fights, and reckless behavior. As he becomes entangled in this dangerous world, he starts feeling a deep connection to Željko, which leads to internal struggles.

As Andrej spends more time with Željko, he begins to realize his attraction to him, which causes confusion and tension. The detention center is a hyper-masculine environment where any sign of weakness is exploited, making it difficult for Andrej to express his emotions.
