Snow White (2025) is a live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic 1937 animated film. Directed by Marc Webb, the film stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. The story follows Snow White, a young princess whose unparalleled beauty makes her the target of her jealous stepmother, the Evil Queen. Fearing Snow White’s growing beauty, the Queen orders her death, but Snow White escapes into the enchanted forest where she finds refuge with seven dwarfs.

The dwarfs offer Snow White protection, and as she hides from the Queen's evil plans, she discovers her own inner strength. As the story unfolds, Snow White learns that she is more than just a princess in need of rescue; she has the power to challenge the Queen’s tyranny. With the help of her newfound friends, Snow White plans to restore peace and justice to her kingdom.

The film will feature both the original songs from the 1937 classic, such as "Heigh-Ho" and "Whistle While You Work," and new music composed by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. A key new addition is "Waiting on a Wish," an empowering song sung by Snow White, expressing her dreams and desires for a better life.

One of the main differences in this adaptation is Snow White’s characterization. Unlike in the original film, where she was a passive character, this version presents Snow White as a strong, independent leader who takes action to save her kingdom. This change highlights her personal growth and her ability to overcome adversity.

Alongside Zegler and Gadot, the film’s cast includes Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Snow White's love interest, and Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman. The story of Snow White’s self-discovery and her fight against the Queen’s evil rule promises to bring a fresh and modern take to the classic fairytale when the film is released on March 21, 2025.
