In the mountains of South Korea, a young girl named Mija lives peacefully with her grandfather and her best friendβ€”Okja, a genetically modified super-pig created by the powerful Mirando Corporation. Over ten years, Mija and Okja form a deep bond, treating each other as family. However, their quiet life is shattered when representatives from Mirando arrive to reclaim Okja as part of a global publicity campaign to promote their new food product.
